This is a friend card from the Storybook Cartridge. I got the idea from a sketch in a book called Originals. Some sewing and some popping and the card came to life into one I actually liked.

It's Fall

It may not say so on the calendar, but fall is upon us. The sycamore trees here are losing their leaves and the temp is actually a few degrees lower, although the humidity has not released its grip.

I made nine cards today and got seven of them in the mail. I didn't take pictures of all of them, but I liked these few fall cards and decided to put them up. And I made a quilt card for my best friend in Nevada. She is a master quilt maker. Obviously, I am not, I thought it was the hardest card I have ever done! But, it turned out okay.
Onward and Upward.

Another in the "Herd" Series

After being "death warmed over" sick all week long, I was finally able to create again. I had been so sick that most of the week I could barely hold my head up except to run to the bathroom and back to the couch. I didn't eat anything for 3 days and lost 9 lbs. That being said, I couldn't focus, but I could think about things and I have about 4 cards in my head. Today, I finished the next in my Cow Herd series for Halloween.
I have exactly one month left before I get to journey back to the U.S. for a visit home and will need to have the entire Herd ready for delivery. :0)
Tonight my dear husband bought me some boxes to keep my scraps in and I am happily going to sort through them and make the scraps more accessible to my work area. YAY!

Sunflowers in Tuscany

The sunflowers are blooming here. I love it! So it inspired me to do a bunch of sunflower cards. Until my husband was sick of seeing the sunflowers. I have just one lowly sunflower growing on my terrace, it hasn't bloomed yet, but when it does, I will be jumping up and down for joy that something I planted from a seed GREW! So far, nothing else I planted made it.

So, the flowers are far more inspiring than my cards. But both made me happy!

Herd of this thing......

So, I got an order to make an entire set of cow cards as a give away item. It's been fun trying to come up with funny ideas for the cows to be doing. My sister, Laura, has been a lot of help in this area. She is so funny. So here are two more cards to add to the cow collection. Mooey Christmas and Cash Cow.

Now, I guess I will have a herd of them.
Next up is: Herd It Was Your Birthday, The Cow Jumped Over the Moon, and Bikini Bovine.

Italian Glass

I bought some Italian beads and put together this necklace for my sister to auction off for a fundraiser. It is Italian matte glass, lampwork beads, swarovski crystals, czech fire glass, freshwater pearls and silver findings. It was fun to put together for her.

Oh Deer

The cricut boards had a thread for Christmas card designs so I decided to take my cow design to the reindeer. It was so much fun, although a little tedious to add colored bits behind each of those little light bulb cut-outs. I save all the little circle dots that are cut from other things and save them in a tic-tac box. I can see through it to see what color dots are in there.

Anyway, the reindeer is made from George. His antlers from Home Decor, the Happy Holidays and light bulbs from Joys of the Season and "Oh Deer" from Lyrical Letters. (I wish Lyrical Letters had a shadow feature).

Oh Deer!

It was a card day...........

Tom stayed home from work today since he is leaving tomorrow and he helped me with cards. Really funny to have your DH want to help. :0)

Working for the Cricut Card Fairy Army, I made this get well card. While working on it, I accidentally kicked the chair I was working in and broke my little toe. It looks worse than it feels, but I've now taped it to its buddy and continued working. I have 9 cards to do. I sent out some I forgot to even take pictures of.... oh well. Onward and upward.

Cow-A-Bungee

COW -A-BUNGEE!

Used George for the Cow, My World for the Bridge and Lyrical Letters for the inside.
A rubber band for the bungie on the outside and coiled wire for the inside. This card is fun, I hope it makes you smile.

After I did the first one... and following comments from my DH. I did a second one. As is common. I liked the second one better than I liked the first. So I posted that one too.
