Magical Wishes

Magical Wishes image by Dr. Digi'sSentiment stamp from Pink & Main Unicorn Set

This is a vertical card that fits in a #10 envelope for my grandson Ellis who is turning 8 this month.  He is getting money this year so the interior is a money holder.

This is a closeup of the work I did on the bottle and card borders.  I used Clear Accents on the bottle which is hard to see here, but the bottle has a pop accent in person along with white Uniball pen, Fiskar sidewinder stitching, Eyelet Outlet brads.  I used the following Copics to color this card:

G00, G05, YG13, YG15, BV00, BV02, Y28, Y08, E34, E37 E00, RV02,  B00, B21, B41, N0, N1, C3,

I also used Copic Spica pens to add some dazzle in the smoke.  I wasn't able to capture in the picture.  Matted this picture on levels of Black, Green, Navy Blue, Baby Blue and white cardstock.

I added Glossy Accents to the jewel on the Genie's hat and the gold earring in his ear, you can see some of the highlight in the smoke in this picture

Under Wraps

This adorable image is from Lemon Shortbread  I used him creating a candy pocket holding individual Reese's Peanut Butter cups.

Q: What do you call a mummy who wins the lottery?

A: A lucky stiff!

The pocket holder is made from Cricut's Box It UP cartridge.  Colored with Copic markers, N00, N01, N03, E21, YR12, YR15, White Opaque Uniball pen,
Cotton torn piece, Corner wraps on the Under Wraps sign.

This was a fun piece to color and to get the shading right.  I worked hard on it.  My husband said he was really  impressed and that is high praise to me.
Papers were Fancy Pants and DCVW.  Printed on Neenah White twice and fussy cut for strength and stamina on the candy holder.

Q: Why do mummies have trouble keeping friends?

A: They’re too wrapped up in themselves!

Q: Where do mummies go for a swim?

A: To the dead sea!

Pure JOY

This image is from Paper Creator and is called Pure Joy and the image just elicits a smile. Paper Creator has some pretty sweet images.  #PaperCreator is the sponsor for our Anything Goes challenge over at Penny's Paper Crafty Challenges

This image is colored and mounted on #FancyPants paper.  I fussy cut some of the background flowers and brought them to the foreground.

The stamps are from Pink and Main Unicorn Stamp set, I used the stars and magical happy birthday from the set.  The same papers are used on the inside.  I used #Fiskar scissors to cut the white borders on the front of the card, #Xyron ATG adhesive and #Zig Blue Glue. Used a Pink & Main die to cut the sentiment squares on the inside of the card.

This was a fun project.  Entering this card in the following challenges:

JoAnn's Ribbons and internal matting and ribbon, no sentiment inside.  This image was so beautiful on it's own before I got to it.  It almost felt like an honor to work on it, it was so beautiful!

Quilts and Patches

I cannot quilt.  I can barely sew a straight line.  But I can cut paper so this project for the challenge over at Penny's Paper Crafty, was fun!  The challenge is ANYTHING GOES and the DT is using images from QKR Stampede.

Used a lot of scraps to make the front.  The inside was just a printed paper because making all those triangles was a lot and I just don't know how quilters do it.

Copic Markers
Y31, Y08, YG00, YG17
YR07, BG01, Y00, YR09

I Lick You

These Popsicles are from the Simply Charmed cartridge.  They are so cute.  I used the tongue from the Grooming Cat on Meow for the licking popsicle.  I wanted to use a play on words... I like you... I lick you.  But, it just doesn't come out right..ha ha ha, so I just used I LIKE YOU as the sentiment inside.

I had two kinds of popsicle paper and I layered them and it came out pretty cute.  I hope it made you laugh.

I Believe In You

Penny's Challenge 338 - July 19th - Anything Goes

This is the Bugaboo "I Believe In You" Unicorn set.  I love this set, it just makes me laugh and I've been in love with Bugaboo squares of late.
For this set, I layered the card with a light blue paper, used a #Darice Field of Flowers folder... inked up the folder and ran it through the cuttlebug  to get these great ink embossed paper that I layered on the blue.
Each square is matted and mounted 3 times with purple pink and white paper.  Pink and yellow silk ribbons layered and lined along with Cricut Scallop Edges Cut lined along the ribbon

Creating trees

Learning how to slice things so you can create off the mat has been a huge learning curve for me. But, after I learned I went crazy with posting some trees that our Children's Minister wanted at our church.

1. This tree won Top 3 at Always Fun Challenges

Top 3

5.    For

Scrapbook Stamp Society - Monochrome

Trees 3 &  4 - I didn't cut personally but had someone else cut for me.  I put them up though, and all of them end up being a huge jigsaw puzzle to put on the wall!  Ha ha ha.  Anyway 3 & 4 were just too complicated for me to get right.

I used the following Cricut Cartridges and my own SVG cuts:

Stretch Your Imagination, Jubilee, Wild Card and Cindy Loo

The Paper Shelter

This image is the Lil' Cowboy from The Paper Shelter

I added some images from Cricut's Old West cartridge - the wood frame and rope, the cactus is from New Mexico Destinations.

I had this fun bandana paper and used most of what I had left of it on this project.

There is no interior sentiment.  I'll think of one later.
